Ashlyn had her first tooth break through her gums last night (her bottom right) and seems to be a little cranky because of it... I don't blame her but it's hard not being able to do much besides put baby orajel on it. We went swimming today and had a great time, she loves to wear her sun hat and won't even touch it. She scoots herself all over our living room on the rug and the wood floor so it looks like I'll have my work cut out for me trying to keep her contained in one area...

DREY!!! i read your post on my blog and thought, who the heck is Andrea Bird....I guess I never knew any parts of your real name. How the heck are you? Your little girl is really cute. Yeah, so what do we do about these wooden floors...they just seem dangerous for little girls. Ahh, new mothers!
You can always use baby tylenol if she's really grumpy. YOu are lucky she likes her hat, Charlotte won't wear one for more than 30 seconds.

I have one word for you..."OUCH!" Teething was a nightmare for us. Alyssa cut was constantly cutting a new tooth. By 12 months she was only missing two teeth...by 15 months she had them all. I'm with Robin on using the baby tylenol. It really seemed to provide longer relief. Plus, you could use both at once since the the orajel is just a topical ointment! Good luck!
