Swimming Lessons

The first week is over and she has improved dramatically, she hated putting her face in the water and now she goes under to grab rings and swim through a hoop (all of course assisted by her teacher, but still a great accomplishment)! She pretty much did awesome while swimming but when sitting on the step waiting for her turn (3 kids in the class) she would cry "mom I need to hold you" the whole entire lesson! Today her daddy came to see what I was dealing with and see if he could help and she only cried between her first 3 turns and was a happy camper the rest of the lesson, let's just hope come Monday when I take her by myself again that she is that cooperative!! We have 2 more weeks of lessons and then I'm really considering doing another session just for more practice! Here are some pictures from her FIRST day

We got a fun toy from Blake's brother to take the kids on rides! Weston LOVES it and is totally relaxed while taking SLOW rides with daddy...

He loves his swing and he went swimming for the first time a few weeks ago and pretty much splashed the WHOLE time! Thanks Robin for holding him so I could get a few pictures

Ashlyn went to the Splash Pad with some friends and loved it, last time I had to make her get wet, this time she cried when we had to leave!

She kept handing Blake the camera and said take my picture, she posed herself!

Do you think she has enough flotation gear, she will be starting swimming lessons on Monday!

Summer Days

Well although it seems we've gone missing, that's not the case, just haven't felt like posting or editing pictures of our happenings! I have been keeping up on everyone's blogs and seeing all the fun summer trips and activities that everyone has been doing... this is what we've been up to:

-Keeping up our Garden (we ate corn out of it this week)
-Going to the Dirt Bike Track
-Hanging out with family
-We were sick for almost a week (head colds)
-Shopping for family birthdays & Celebrating
-Planning Lake Powell trip
-Cleaning our garage (it looks fabulous)
-Bought a Four Wheeler for Ashlyn (from Blake's brother) We drive her though
-Attending Ashlyn's music class (with preschool friends)
-I have a new calling SCOUTS, yep I'm a den leader for the Webelos
-I'm wanting to put Ashlyn is swim lessons ASAP
-Weston is 10 months and walks along furniture

*So although that isn't super exciting it's been fun getting things done! I'll post pictures sometime this week I'm sure! Enjoy your summer fun
