New Addition
Blakes brother Trent and his wife Robin had a sweet little boy this morning (3rd baby)! Henry was 7 pounds 3 ounces and 19.5 inches long (Robin was just 4 hours past having him on her due date, and Charlotte was born on her due date also - good timing). They haven't decided on the middle name yet! Congratulations Trent, Robin, Tucker and Charlotte. Thursday, July 26, 2007

Date Night!
Saturday night we went out with our friends Mark and Clarissa Judy and we set up my little brother Adam with one of there friends Sheri! We went to dinner and then to Speedway to race some cars... we had a fun time and they give you head covers to wear under the helmet and they made us look like we were wearing du-rags - the wind was blowing so it's hard to see the sides in these pictures! It was nice to be out without the baby for a few hours... (not sure why this is underlined - sorry)

So NOT Cool.....

Well some of you know that on Tuesday night around 2 AM our Air Conditioning went out and it was a miserable night, not only because Ashlyn has been sick with a runny/stuffy nose since the Lake Powell trip but also teething and waking up every hour or so seems to be normal these days...not so fun! Ashlyn ended up being ok in her room with the fan on high and the humidifire, Blake slept on the living room floor and I took the couch (what a nice guy). I went to my brother Steve's house around 9AM and hung out with Kadee and the kids until my dad got home so I could hang out and wait to see if we could get the A/C fixed. The part we thought we needed ended up not being it and Blake did tons of research in the 97 degree home until he figured out what we needed! We spent the night at my parents house last night and Blake got the new part this morning and installed it on his lunch hour. Am I a lucky wife or what - most A/C companies have waiting lists as it's 113 degrees out and a lot of people have A/C issues! My house is now back down to 79 degrees and it will be nice to sleep in our own beds. I have to say when I returned home hours after Blake fixed the A/C I started laundry and the clothes he was wearing in the attic were still soaking wet, he must have been miserable! I'm pretty sure we saved a few hundred dollars by Blake being a hands on guy and doing the job himself! I feel so blessed... Thanks Blake for being so proactive and working so hard - I love you!

On the move......
Ashlyn is 8 days away from being 7 months old and is on the "GO" all day long, she now moves from her knees to a sitting position all by herself and vice versa - we took the bumper out of her crib because she used it as a boosting device for her to climb up her crib railing... of course she doesn't get very high but I didn't want to teach her any bad habits! she is still making the scrunched nose face and sounds a lot like a motor boat with her little mouth spitting away. She is great at entertaining herself and loves all toys especially books. She loves her high chair and seems to have a few favorites as far as solid food goes including pears, peaches, carrots, sweet potatos, squash and we will be trying the green beans this weekend along with peas. Ashlyn's two top teeth are getting close to sprouting in addition to her other bottom one.

Fourth of July Celebration
We had a fun day, I spent the morning cleaning while Blake helped his dad and brothers get the boat and trailer ready for Lake Powell next week! Then I made some carmel popcorn and we headed to Bart and Dusti's for a fun night - my parents were able to celebrate with us too. When we got there everyone was swimming and snacking and having lots of fun. The older boys decided to do tricks off the diving board for entertainment -we later grilled burgers and hot dogs and visited before watching fire works from the front yard! The kids also had fun with sparklers. We got home around 10:30 and ended up going to bed around 12:30 (Ashlyn went to bed when we got home)! Now the food planning begins for the Lake Powell reunion. We can't wait to see everyone!
