Bart doing tricksWe had a fun day, I spent the morning cleaning while Blake helped his dad and brothers get the boat and trailer ready for Lake Powell next week! Then I made some carmel popcorn and we headed to Bart and Dusti's for a fun night - my parents were able to celebrate with us too. When we got there everyone was swimming and snacking and having lots of fun. The older boys decided to do tricks off the diving board for entertainment -we later grilled burgers and hot dogs and visited before watching fire works from the front yard! The kids also had fun with sparklers. We got home around 10:30 and ended up going to bed around 12:30 (Ashlyn went to bed when we got home)! Now the food planning begins for the Lake Powell reunion. We can't wait to see everyone!

I have never been able to figure out why little kids want to lick everything in sight - especially since most of it doesn't taste good - for example - the cart at Walmart - Yuck! Oh well I guess it is good the immune system. Ashlyn is such a cutie in her 4th of July outfit!
